Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Un Aided)

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Un Aided) | DiplmInElctriclEngUnAid

Diploma in Electrical Engineering is a three year aided diploma programme with minimum eligibility SSC. The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 1963, with an intake of 40 students, which was later increased to 60 in 1966. In 1981, Part time Diploma was sanctioned initially with an intake of 40 students, which also was later increased to 60 for students who already are employed and are interested in continuing their education.

The programme was granted ‘Academic Autonomy’ in the year 1994, that helped the department to design their own curriculum and cater to the needs of the students. The Department has the unique status of getting accredited for five years in, Mumbai region, which was granted in 2005. The programme is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is granted unconditional academic equivalence by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE). The Department also has received ‘Excellent” status by the External Monitoring committee constituted by MSBTE . The department has highly qualified and experienced faculties who provide quality education to the students and also caters to overall development of the student by encouraging them to participate in both co curricular and extracurricular activities. The department has excellent laboratory facilities and has received AICTE grant of Rs. 5.00 lac under MODROB for the Electrical Machines Laboratory. This department has been reaccredited for three years in 2019.
