Vision and Mission

Vision of Department:

To create proficient diploma engineers equipped with the latest knowledge,contributing towards the technological progress of the state.

Mission of Department:

• To impart knowledge related to Computer Engineering and allied areas in order to prepare students for successful career and higher education through updated curriculum.
• To instill values,ethics and environmental concerns for lifelong learning.

Department of Computer Engineering was established in year 2006 on self-finance basis with objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Engineering. Department is youngest department in the institute and attracts high quality students. Generous grants from management made it possible to develop Computer labs with latest Hardware and Software. Department offers 3 years Diploma Programme in Computer Engineering. Curriculum is well designed with the help of industry experts and senior academicians. Courses are offered in perfect hierarchical manner and include extensive practical sessions. All practical exercises are performed using the latest software on the high end machines. Department also promotes open source software development and students have been closely involved with such development projects. Entire teaching faculty is highly motivated and is committed to teaching in classrooms as well as in the labs. Industrial visits for the Third Year students are arranged so as to expose them to the work culture and various practices in Industry. To supplement curriculum with latest happening in IT industry, Expert lectures are arranged. Students are encouraged to visit various exhibitions and take part in project competitions, paper presentation competitions. Students of this department have brought several laurels to this institute by actively participating and winning several technical competitions including First prize in DIPEX 2014. Department has ambient classrooms equipped with ICT enabled learning technologies and state of the art laboratories. A full fledge Robotics laboratory is developed in collaboration with IITB under the EYantra. Besides this, teaching staff and supporting staff are actively supporting the institute in various activities where IT support is required.

• To impart knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering and programming skills to analyze as well as solve computational and engineering problems.
• To use the latest hardware and software technologies to solve real life problems in order to discover economically viable and environmentally sustainable solutions.
• To inculcate communication and team building skills along with professional attitude and ethics.

• Demonstrate standard practices and engineering tools in assembling,troubleshooting,networking and maintenance of computer systems and allied areas.
• Apply basic concepts and develop applications in the areas related to programming,database,network security & web technology.
